How do I access the Financial Management Guide?

To Access the Financial Management Guide CD-ROM:

  1. Place the CD-ROM in your computer's CD-ROM drive and the program will automatically start. If the Introduction page of the CD-ROM does not automatically open, follow these steps:
  2. Start your Internet browser by choosing it from the start menu or by clicking on its icon.
  3. From the menu of your browser, choose: File, Open and then select the file E:\default.htm (substitute your CD-ROM drive letter if other than E.)

CD-ROM Hard Drive Installation:

Provided that you have sufficient available hard drive space, you may copy the contents of the Financial Management Guide CD-ROM onto your computer's hard drive. This will speed access to the data somewhat and allow you to remove the CD-ROM from the drive but retain access to the information it contains. To copy the entire CD-ROM onto your computer's hard drive:

  1. Create a new blank directory, and give it a name (we suggest "first5").
  2. Copy the entire contents of the CD into the new directory (e.g., c:\first5\)
  3. Open the file: c:\first5\default.htm substituting for C if your hard drive has a different letter and replacing "first5" with the name of the directory you create, if different.
Proceed to use the product as usual, but running it from your hard drive.
