The following maps identify areas of high socio-economic need across all ZIP codes for each county in the Southern California region. High need is determined by an index of five datasets, including the population of children ages 0-5, the rate of families in poverty, the rate of births to teen mothers, the rate of adults over age 25 without a high school diploma, and the rate of babies born at a low birth weight.
